On 19th, Dec., the opening ceremony of The Vocational & Technical Education Seminar for nations alongside the Belt and Road and The Training Base of Rail Transit Talents for nations alongside the Belt and Roadwere held at Xi’an Railway Vocational and Technical Institute. Twenty-five professional educators who are from Russia, UK, Thailand, CanadaandMalaysiaattend the nine-day seminar.

  The experts, specializing on rail transit and vocational education at home and abroad, will be invited to present five keynote reports. The participants will have a field inspection to the training section of Wuhan high-speed rail.

  This seminar shows the Institute’s positive response to the Belt and Road Initiative. At the same time, it has the innovation significance to recommend Chinese high-speed rail, expand cooperation, build new platforms for educational exchanges and international cooperation, and promote development of the regional vocational education.

  As of press time, the Institute leadership and the representatives of Russian Far Eastern State Transport University, Thailand’s Panyapiwat Institute of Managmemt, Canadian English Montreal School Board and Malaysian International Cultural Exchange Centerheld bilateral meetings respectively. Both sides reached a primary intent of cooperation, hoping for a substantial progress in the future.

  Tian Heping, President of the Institute, said no matter how far and fastthe Chinese high-speed rail will go, the Institute will be following its walk-out steps and strive to contribute to the developmentof the Chinese high-speed rail and the local personnel training and preservation.

  The seminar is a new attempt of innovating the mode of technology and humanityexchangesamong nations alongside the Belt and Road. It builds a new platform for education and technique exchanges, shows the new achievements of Chinese railway and high-speed rail development, and exports the new ideas of the Chinese rail techniques and Chinese vocational education. With The Training Base of Rail Transit Talents for nations alongside the Belt and Road located in Xi’an Railway Vocational & Technical Institute, we’ll regularly carry out a range of activities, including foreign training and academic exchanges, to boost the Belt and Roadconstructionandspeed up the internationalization of theInstitute’s education.
