The “School of China-Thailand Rail Transit” is an educational institution jointly run by our Institute with Donmuang Technical College in Bangkok, Thailand and designed to carry out academic education for international students in China, overseas education, curriculum construction and teacher training as well as train skilled personnel that are familiarized with the Chinese traditional culture and that are adapted to the urgent need of local rail transit.

Relying on the secondary schools such as the School of Electrical Engineering of our Institute, this school aims to help Thailand vocational colleges to strengthen the construction of rail transit specialty, take “urban rail transit power supply and distribution technology specialty” as the guide, and jointly train rail transit professionals by means of studying in China and training in sections. It is the first overseas education project to export Chinese rail transit technical standards.

The School of China-Thailand Rail Transit promotes a new mode of international exchange and cooperation in the context of the “Internet plus” and achieve in-depth cooperation in many aspects such as the Chinese education, professional course study, studying in China and assignment of teachers so as to lay a solid foundation for further expanding the cooperation in higher education between the countries along the Belt and Road.

The School of China-Thailand Rail Transit was officially unveiled in October 2018, and the first Thai students to study in China will be officially registered in May 2019.
