On the morning of April 18th, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Vishnu Bauder and his delegation, accompanied by Qiang Sheng, director of Xi’an Municipal Foreign Affairs Office , made a special trip to our school for field visits and exchanges.
Shi Limin, secretary of the school Party Committee, Tian Heping, principle, Zhao Liujie, deputy principle, and directors of relevant functional departments of our school welcomed the delegation in front of the building of the Traction Power College. After a brief introduction to the school, they accompanied General Secretary Vishnu Bauder and his delegation to systematically inspect the training labs of the Traction Power College including "HXD3 locomotive simulation driving training center" , "JZD-D type combination machine wheel to magnetic particle testing center" ,"CCB-II type electric control motivation training center" ,"EMU driving training center" and "City Rail Vehicle Traction and Braking Training Center".
Zhao Liujie, our deputy principle in charge of foreign affairs, introduced to the delegation the work our school has done in implementing the “Belt and Road Initiative” such as jointly running school with Russia, cooperation with Thailand, Pakistan, Kenya and other countries. He expressed that our school is also looking forward to new development in education cooperation with Nepal if possible.
During the inspection, General Secretary Baudel was very appreciative of the teaching conditions and training equipment of our school. He repeatedly consulted Tian Heping about technical issues. At the same time, he expressed that Nepal is willing to cooperate with China in many fields including railway technology and education.

Secretary Shi Limin agreed with this idea. He said that Nepal is an important part of the Silk Road. The bilateral relationship based on the principle of interconnection promoted the exchanges between the people. He hoped that this visit would deepen the mutual understanding, enhance the friendship and build a platform for higher education cooperation and exchange.
