The "Internet + Sino-Thai Rail Transit College" held an unveiling ceremony in our college on October 15th. "Internet + Sino-Thai Rail Transit College" integrated the cooperation between China and Thailand, carrying out foreign students’ education training, overseas school, curriculum co-construction, teacher training, etc. It would train skilled personnel who both were familiar with Chinese traditional culture and adapted to the local rail transit skills for Thailand.
The Thai vocational education delegation, composed of 7 people including a senior adviser from the Bangkok Vocational Education Center, the Director of the Bangkok Vocational Education Center, and the Vice President of Don Mueang Technical Institute, came to our college to visit and exchange with the aim of practical cooperation. The visit was an official return visit after the appointment in Beijing in April this year and the visit of our college to Thailand in August, and achieved the "urban rail transit power supply and distribution technology major" as the first, officially launched "Internet + Sino-Thai Rail Transit Academy.
Accompanied by Zhao Liujie, deputy dean of the college, and Zhao Jingmin, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Division, the delegation first inspected the training bases and teaching environment of the secondary colleges in the Gangwu Campus. The Thai guests greatly appreciated the schooling conditions and equipment of our college, and further enhanced the confidence of cooperation.
At the subsequent signing and unveiling ceremony, Zhao Liujie delivered a warm welcome speech. He fully affirmed that the achievement of the cooperation projects between the two colleges was a phased achievement in a period of more than half a year of multi-party communication, a result of promoting China-ASEAN vocational education cooperation and a result of the win-win development of each other under the initiative of “The Belt and The Road”. It is hoped that all parties will follow the time and order, and do a good job in the follow-up work of the integration of talent training programs, curriculum development and enrollment of the "urban rail power supply technology".
The Bangkok Vocational Education Center is one of the 23 vocational education management centers under the Vocational Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, representing the highest level of vocational education in Thailand, said Ms. Choponu Poponsson, director of the Bangkok Vocational Education Center. There are 13 vocational colleges with integrated secondary, higher vocational and undergraduate education within the jurisdiction of the center. She said that Thailand was currently actively promoting the "Eastern Economic Corridor Construction Plan" and the "Thailand 4.0 Plan", echoing the initiative "The Belt, and The Road" China had proposed. Our cooperation was an exploration to strengthen the training of international talents and provided talent support for Chinese-funded enterprises in Thailand. China and Thailand are friendly for generations, and we believe that our cooperation can go hand in hand.
Li Jinsong, president of Tang Feng International Education Group, said in his speech that as a promoter and participant of Sino-Thai cooperation, he was willing to continue to serve the educational cooperation between the two colleges. He shared the practical achievements and experiences of enterprises in the cooperation of running schools, curriculum construction and personnel training in domestic universities, and expounded the importance and significance of opening the door to the outside world of vocational education. He expressed the hope that all parties, in the context of "Internet +", would continue to deepen and expand the mode and scope of international exchanges and cooperation, and reached in-depth cooperation in Chinese language education, professional courses study, study abroad and foreign assignments through the international education cloud platform, laying the foundation for further expanding the cooperation of “The Belt and The Road” national higher education.
On behalf of the College, Zhao Liujie signed a “quadripartite agreement” with Bangkok Vocational Education Center, Don Mueang Technical Institute and Tang Feng International Education to clarify the responsibilities and obligations of all parties in promoting the construction of “Internet + Sino-Thai Rail Transit Academy”. The representatives of four parties jointly unveiled the "Internet + Sino-Thai Rail Transit Academy".
On the afternoon of the 15th, the vice president and dean of Don Mueang Technical Institute, the deans of the School of Electrical Engineering and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the professional leaders, etc., carried out a in-depth discussion around the talent training programs of “urban rail transit power supply and distribution technology major” and clarified the division training, curriculum system construction and mutual recognition of courses (credits).
The establishment of "Internet + Sino-Thai Rail Transit College" was another initiative for our college to integrate into the national initiative "The Belt and The Road", which marked a step forward in international cooperation. Our college will continue to upgrade its concept, optimize its professional settings, expand its cooperation channels, and train more and more excellent applied technical skills talents for the countries along “The Belt and The Road”.
